The Board of Directors is pleased to announce another Greater Kansas City Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners’ 2017 Fall Workshop, Ethical Considerations, Case Studies, & Expert Witness Seminar with guest speakers Janet McHard & Beth Mohr for 8 hours CPE

About Our Guest Speaker:

Janet M. McHard, CPA, CFE, MAFF, CFF

Partner - McHard Accounting Consulting LLC

Janet is the Founding Partner of McHard Accounting Consulting LLC, a firm dedicated to forensic and investigative accounting.  She is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a certification bestowed upon examination by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, for whom she has been a faculty member since 2003.  She holds a CPA in the states of New Mexico, California and Arizona. 

Janet is a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics, a designation offered by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and is Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  In March of 2016 Janet was inducted in the University of New Mexico Anderson Schools of Management Hall of Fame.  Janet has served as a board member of several entities, including currently the Albuquerque Housing Authority.  

Beth A. Mohr, CFE, FAMS, MPA, PI

Partner - McHard Accounting Consulting LLC

Beth A. Mohr joined McHard Accounting Consulting LLC in 2010, and became Managing Partner in January 2011.  She is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a certification bestowed upon testing by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).  She was also awarded the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist credential by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).  She is an experienced speaker and facilitator working with groups in government, for profit and non-profit sectors.  

Beth has over twenty-five years of experience investigating financial and white collar crimes, in addition to death penalty mitigation cases, civil rights cases, other complex criminal and civil investigations.  She has testified as an expert witness in three states on a variety of different types of matters.  Beth is retired from the San Diego Police Department; she was twice awarded the Department’s highest honor for investigative excellence.  Beth is a private investigator licensed by the States of New Mexico, Arizona and California, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration.  She is also the chairperson of the Police Oversight Board, Civilian Police Oversight Agency, for the City of Albuquerque.
